I, Crown Prince Liu Ju, Demand That Father Emperor Abdicate!

In the second year of Zhenghe, at Ganquan Palace.

Emperor Wu of Han had been seriously ill for a long time. Rumors of witchcraft ran rampant, and he summoned Crown Prince Liu Ju to the palace to discuss state affairs.

In the hall, the emperor asked the crown prince how he would bring peace to the realm.

Liu Ju prostrated himself and knocked his head on the ground. "Your servant is lacking in talent and virtue. I beg Your Majesty to strip me of the heir's title and let me retire to Weiyuan Garden."

The emperor flew into a rage, rebuked the crown prince for harboring resentment, demoted him on the spot, and reduced the number of guards in the Eastern Palace.

That night, the wind rose over Chang'an, and armor and blades gleamed in the moonlight.

Liu Ju, heir to the Great Han and son of Empress Wei, led Zhao Ponu and his troops out of the Eastern Palace, opened the imperial armory, and arrayed his forces before Weiyang Palace.

I, Crown Prince Liu Ju, demand that Father Emperor abdicate!

From this day forth, I shall forge the Great Han anew!
