The legend of Qin Liangyu: Qin Liangyu was the daughter of Qin Kui, a successful candidate in the imperial examination.
Qin Kui was a learned scholar who taught his daughter more than needlework. He also taught her to read The Art of War and practice horsemanship and archery. He told his children, “Trouble is coming to the realm. You must take up arms to defend our country.”
Qin Liangyu was exceptionally gifted, and was even better at riding and archery than her older brothers.
