Cultivating Immortality in the Ming Dynasty, While Old Zhu Sneaks a Peek at My Diary

In the fifteenth year of Hongwu, eight-year-old Zhu Xiongying, the eldest grandson of the emperor, was gravely ill.

On the brink of death, he awakened the Great Dao Cultivation Diary System. As long as he wrote a diary entry complaining about something every day, he could cultivate and achieve immortality!

[Hongwu Year Fifteen: I reached the first level of Qi Refining today. I casually formed a palm-sized thunderbolt and almost blew up the Eastern Palace.]

[Sigh, Grandpa's feudal prince system is a complete disaster. Fourth Uncle Zhu Di is definitely going to rebel one day! And my dumb little brother Yunwen? The Ming dynasty is doomed to fall into his hands!]

Zhu Xiongying was happily cultivating in secret at the Eastern Palace, planning to fly off on his sword someday.

But he had no idea that Zhu Yuanzhang had gotten his hands on a copy of his Cultivation Diary.

At first, Old Zhu thought it was a prank. Then he saw his beloved eight-year-old grandson racing around the imperial garden on a wooden sword and chopping a rockery to pieces... Old Zhu went completely wild!

He desperately kept his grandson's immortal arts a secret, currying favor with him in hopes of gaining immortality, while launching the “Ming Dynasty Repair Plan” with a blade in hand!

Zhu Di: “Father, why do you keep staring at my neck every day? I swear I'm not rebelling!”

Madam Lü: “Your Majesty, Yunwen is innocent!”

Zhu Xiongying: “Grandpa, I'm only eight. You're asking me how to defeat the Mongols? How about I lend you a couple of talismans that summon soldiers from beans?”
