Great Tang: Changle Flees Her Wedding, Broadcast Live on the Sky Screen for All Dynasties!

In the seventh year of the Zhenguan era, Princess Changle, Li Lizhi, was forced to marry her cousin, Zhangsun Chong. Unwilling to accept a marriage arranged between close relatives, she left a note and fled on her wedding day, only to accidentally transmigrate to modern-day Jiangcheng and end up in the home of Su Ze, a self-media influencer.

As Li Shimin searched the entire city for the princess, a sky screen appeared out of nowhere. Every imperial palace from the Qin and Han dynasties through the Ming and Qing dynasties began broadcasting across time, allowing rulers and ministers from every era to watch Changle’s every move. Seeing modern objects like phones and cars for the first time, Changle was so frightened she cried. When Emperor Taizong of Tang saw his daughter in her wedding dress staying in a strange man’s home, he flew into a rage and threatened to exterminate Su Ze’s entire clan. Zhu Yuanzhang scolded her for dressing improperly, while Ying Zheng was captivated by modern buildings and vehicles. The courts of every dynasty erupted into arguments.

Su Ze took in the frightened Changle and showed her modern life. Medical equipment cured the asthma she had suffered from for years, leaving the ancient imperial physicians in awe. While visiting a museum, Su Ze casually revealed what the official histories recorded: Changle would die young at twenty-three because of this marriage. Before the sky screen, Li Shimin broke down in tears, while Empress Zhangsun was consumed by guilt.

The princess, once timid and fearful, fell in love with the freedom of the modern world, while Li Shimin envied his daughter for escaping the shackles of feudal society. As Changle and Su Ze spent their days together, they fell for each other. Su Ze rewrote the tragedy of her short life, and Changle gently healed Su Ze. Emperors throughout history kept watching the broadcast, marveling at modern civilization and witnessing the princess live a new life never recorded in the history books. Together, they made for a heartwarming, humorous story spanning a thousand years between past and present.
