I Was Reborn in My Junior Brother’s Arms on the Eve of the Eight Immortals’ Ascension

Bingquan! Bingquan! Do not enter if you dislike this pairing!

On the night before the ascension ceremony, Zhongli Quan woke in Lü Dongbin's arms, drenched in cold sweat.

In his previous life, he and his seven sworn siblings had obeyed the imperial decree and ascended to Heaven, believing it was the highest honor. In truth, it was a slaughterhouse laid out by the Jade Emperor.

Lan Caihe's soul was scattered on the cloud steps, He Xiangu burned in karmic flames, Han Xiangzi's jade flute was shattered, and Cao Guojiu's jade was broken and his path destroyed…

In the end, he watched helplessly as Lü Dongbin crippled his own foundation and scattered his soul to protect him. Zhongli Quan himself also perished in the Immortal-Slaying Formation, body and spirit obliterated.

When he opened his eyes, he was back at the start of that fatal trap, with the celestial envoy already at the gates of Penglai.

Zhongli Quan gripped his banana-leaf fan, blood-red fury surging in his eyes.

He wasn't ascending this time! He would change his fate, no matter what!

The Jade Emperor wanted to lure them in with sweet promises and deadly traps? Zhongli Quan exposed the plot on the spot and turned the tables at every step!

He wanted to pick them off one by one? The Eight Immortals stuck together like iron, turning Heaven upside down instead!

He wanted to use Lü Dongbin to threaten Zhongli Quan? Sorry, his junior brother was on his side now. Wherever the Pure Yang Sword pointed, the flames of True Yang followed. Anyone who stood in their way would die!

More absurd still, Erlang Shen Yang Jian had been ordered to surround and crush them, but halfway through the fight, he suddenly switched sides.

“Funny you should say that. I can't stand the Jade Emperor either.”

Later, the Immortal-Slaying Formation fell, the Hall of Lingxiao collapsed, and the Jade Emperor sheepishly descended to the mortal realm to undergo tribulation.

Someone asked Zhongli Quan what he was most grateful for after being reborn.

He looked at the snow-white-robed junior brother beside him and smiled.

“I'm most grateful that this time, I protected everyone, and didn't miss my chance with him.”
