The Little Steward of Fallen Mountain: Chen Nuanshu

Mending clothes, brewing medicine, sweeping snow, welcoming guests, guarding the gate, keeping the accounts... The little chores others take for granted are all matters that must not go wrong to me.

Because this is the master's run-down Luopo Mountain, and the home we've worked so hard to make our own.

Beyond the mountain, sword energy crisscrosses the sky, and storms are brewing across the world. My cultivation is weak, and I know nothing of the Great Dao. All I know is that the gates must be shut tight, the food kept warm, the clothes folded neatly, and that anyone returning home should always find a light waiting for them.

From guarding a single bamboo tower to looking after all of Luopo Mountain; from an unknown little maid to the little housekeeper everyone trusts with peace of mind.

This year, I guarded the mountain, and I guarded our home.
