After Saving the Day on a Dating Show, the Whole Internet Wants Me to Make It Official

One hour before the dating show "Love at First Sight, Living Together" was set to air, the scheduled male contestant suddenly went missing.

The sponsors were demanding answers, a million viewers had already entered the livestream, and the chief director was frantically searching everywhere. At last, he spotted Chen Du fixing a water pipe.

Twenty-seven, single, and good-looking on camera.

Most importantly, he was cheap and already right there.

So the show’s lowest-ranking prop master and box-lunch chef was hastily handed a white T-shirt and put on camera as a substitute male contestant for one day.

While everyone else introduced their careers to the cameras, he crouched beneath the sink, tightening a valve.

While everyone else played icebreakers in the living room, he dismantled the show’s wobbly long table.

When mealtime came, he instinctively tied on an apron and cooked a huge meal for all the contestants.

The viewers were in stitches.

[Everyone else comes to a dating show to find love. He comes to finish his work orders.]

[Where did the production team dig up this max-level workaholic?]

[Wait, why does that quiet restorer of ancient books keep saving him a seat?]

When a female contestant invited him out for the first time, Chen Du looked toward the director off-camera and seriously asked:

“Does this count as overtime?”

“Director, do I get paid extra for a date with a female contestant?”

That night, the video shot to the top of the trending charts.

The entire internet had just one demand: don’t let him clock out, make him a full-time cast member!
