I'm Just a Deliveryman. Why Are You Messing With Me?

My name is Lu Chen. I'm a delivery rider. Three months ago, I found a battered old book. I practiced for three days, then punched straight through the load-bearing wall of my rental apartment. I didn't dare tell anyone. There are plenty of other people who cultivate immortality these days, and I was afraid someone would capture me and cut me open for research. I kept delivering food, saved up for spirit medicines, and figured I could just get stronger in secret. Then tonight, someone placed a takeout order to lure me to their door. The man who opened it was an old cultivator at the peak of Qi Refining. He looked at me and said, “That cultivation method of yours... you dug it out of a grave in the north of the city, didn't you?” That's when I realized: the book I found wasn't a cultivation method. It was a seal. And now that I'd taken it away, the thing underneath had awakened.

Now it's coming for me.
