The Corpse Awakens: A Gu Plague

Flames consumed her, reducing her bones to ash, yet she opened her eyes amid corpse worms!

Ye Li, an unwanted daughter of a Miao village in western Hunan, was branded a bringer of misfortune and burned alive on an altar. Her overwhelming hatred awakened an ancient corpse worm, and she crawled out of her grave with the [Myriad Corpse Worm God System]!

“Those who burn my body today will become nests for my worms tomorrow!” Her blood oath etched into her bones, her revenge began.

Turn corpses into weapons! Plant worms to create fiends! While others drive corpses around the martial world, she sends them after her enemies! White Jiangshi scout ahead, Black Fiends reap lives, and when the Blood Hopping Corpse appears, ten thousand corpses submit!

Miaojiang secret arts, thousand-year-old tombs, bizarre poisons, shadowy masterminds… danger lurks everywhere. With one hand controlling corpses and the other wielding worms, Ye Li treads carefully through a sinister realm. Sometimes, she even makes the zombies dance, finding amusement in hardship.

The System issues cold prompts as she unlocks the Heart-Burning Curse, Bone-Refining Worms, and more… Her power surges! But the sneers of her enemies, the villagers’ ignorance, and the elders’ totem all point to a horrifying truth: was her rebirth actually the beginning of an even greater conspiracy?

As the Corpse Ancestor’s seal loosens and the myriad worms grow restless, Ye Li stands atop a mountain of corpses and a sea of worms, sneering:

“Want to use me as a pawn? Then let’s see whether your scheme comes to fruition first, or my ‘corpse-worm army’ tramples this whole world!”
