Racing Through 1982: Starting by Pretending to Be a Trillionaire

Back to 1982, and it's hell from the start! His father has been conned by a fake Hong Kong businessman out of the whole county's pooled investment funds, and the entire village is at the door with hoes, ready to kill. At the brink of life and death, Lu Ze awakens the System, changes into a custom Armani suit, and kicks open the door. “What are you panicking for? Come with me to the black market docks to catch the real crook!” Under the cover of night, Lu Ze confronts the fake Hong Kong businessman, who is preparing to flee with the money, and launches into fluent Wall Street English. He fools the con man so thoroughly that the man thinks he's been caught up in an international battle between financial giants. Terrified, he kneels and hands over the money. The crisis is over, but the provincial leaders all look at Lu Ze differently now. Everyone thinks he's a Wall Street tycoon who has returned to China with a hundred million dollars to invest! To keep up the charade, Lu Ze has no choice but to see it through. With no capital to speak of, he launches a frenzy of infrastructure projects, foreign trade, and cutting-edge technology research. Ten years later, when a real Wall Street consortium tries to short him, they finally discover he's a fake tycoon. The whole world falls silent. Because by then, he has already bought half of Wall Street!
