I Asked You to Write a Novel, Not Found a Sect!

[Urban fantasy + fiction becomes reality + martial arts for everyone + hilarious power fantasy + founding a sect] Chen Guan, a struggling author, had spent three years writing martial arts novels. He had barely any readers and was three months behind on rent. To qualify for his platform's attendance bonus, he stayed up all night and made up a sword technique called River Sword Art. The next day, Qin Xueyi, the belle of Linjiang University, showed up with a yellowed sword manual, kicked in his security door, and dropped to her knees on the spot. “Master, I reached the third level and coughed up blood.” Chen Guan stared at the manual, whose typos were identical to his own, and fell silent. Even more absurdly: A reader said, “At the third level, your meridians have to run in reverse,” and Qin Xueyi immediately coughed up blood. Netizens believed “the fourth move can split a lake with one strike,” and she really did cleave an artificial lake in two. Tens of thousands became convinced the River Sect was real, and a sect appeared overnight in the barren hills north of the city. From then on, the whole internet practiced martial arts, the authorities urged him to update, influencers came to expose him as a fraud, and investors tried to buy out the martial world. Chen Guan's biggest wish each day was simply for readers to stop imagining so much. Because the techniques he wrote became real. And so did readers' misinterpretations in the comments. Even the villains in his novel started gaining fans of their own. Then one day, a new chapter appeared automatically in his author dashboard: “Not bad.” “It's my turn to write the next chapter.” Other people write novels and fear nobody will read them. Chen Guan writes novels and fears the world will be the one that gets abandoned.
