[Tomb-Raiding Fanfic + Hilarious Everyday Life + Funny Contractual Partnership + Subverting Expectations + Two Strong Leads] [Clear-Headed, Tough, Materialist Female Lead] × [Unmatched in Combat, Handsome, Irreverent Old Rogue] Jiang Tang inherited her grandmother’s eighty-million-yuan courtyard mansion, on the condition that she “unconditionally bind” herself to a hereditary family steward. Staring at the leather-clad man before her, lounging around in sunglasses fit for a fortune-teller, Jiang Tang, a ruthless investment banker, spent the night poring over labor laws, trying to force him to quit with KPI assessments and “relentless wage deductions.” The steward, Hei Xiazi, meekly scrimped and argued with market vendors every day to save fifty cents on groceries. Until one night, a group of fully armed assassins and a strange blood corpse smashed through the old mansion’s front gate. Under the infrared surveillance cameras, the usually weak and helpless blind man sighed. With a flick of his cane, he cleared the place in three seconds, even crushing a speeding bullet with his bare hands. Then he wiped the blood from his black-and-gold dagger and grinned at the pinhole camera: “Boss, high-risk bodyguard services are only five thousand. WeChat Pay or Alipay?” Jiang Tang sneered and produced a rosewood abacus: “Five thousand is fine. After deducting twenty thousand for repairs to the Ming-Qing grand chair you smashed, you still owe me fifteen thousand. And I’m confiscating this month’s grocery money!” The South Blind Man, feared throughout the underworld, an undying Asura big shot of a hundred years, was reduced to a lowly wage slave without even basic benefits. When the conspiracy behind eternal life was exposed and the horrors of the underground world emerged in force, an immortal monster stood before her, smiling bloodthirstily: “You want to touch her? Have you asked Master Hei’s blade?” Jiang Tang shoved him aside and set up military-grade drones and infrared sonic weapons: “Move! I’ll dock your attendance bonus! Don’t get in the way while I exorcise them with modern physics!”
