Reborn, I Go Wild on a Dating Show, and the Movie Emperor Gets Carried Away

[Rebirth + Unhinged Antics + Sweet Romance Between Two Men + Entertainment-Industry Face-Slapping + Variety Show Livestream]

In his previous life, Su Nian appeared on the healing variety show “Life in the Mountains.” He was gentle and sensible, always giving way to others. His fellow guests made him take the blame, the production team edited the footage to make him look bad, and online abuse drove him into depression and to slash his wrists. As he lay dying, he saw the aloof, untouchable triple-crown Best Actor Lu Chenyun finally shed tears for him for the first time.

When he opened his eyes, he had been reborn on the first day of the show’s livestream.

A senior tries to guilt-trip him? He fires back until they’re speechless. A fake sweetheart puts on an act? He rips off the mask on the spot. The production team tries to edit him into a villain? He proves his innocence on camera, leaving them nothing to twist. The whole internet calls him crazy? Su Nian sneers: “I’m just acting crazy. It’s not against the law.”

Everyone thinks Su Nian’s career is over and he’ll be blacklisted sooner or later. Only the aloof, taciturn top-tier star, an award-winning actor even the powerful dare not provoke, stands by his side.

When others ostracize him, Lu Chenyun speaks up in front of everyone: “The truth has always been hard to hear. It’s pretending that makes you fit in.” When others snatch his food, Lu Chenyun pushes the whole plate of meat over: “I don’t like it. He does.” When the producer threatens to blacklist him, Lu Chenyun shields him and says: “I’ll take full responsibility for him.”

The whole internet: ??? Weren’t you supposed to be an aloof actor who kept everyone at arm’s length???

Later, during a late-night livestream, someone captures the unhinged little brat curled up in the actor’s arms, crying in a soft, hoarse voice: “Lu Chenyun, why are you so good to me…”

The man lowers his head and kisses his hair, his voice so tender it’s almost unbelievable: “Because in our previous life, I couldn’t protect you.”

[His madness is armor. Only you get to see his vulnerability. The regrets of their previous life will be made right in this one.]
