Back to the 1960s: My Wife Is Too Sweet and Engineer Lu Has to Keep His Cool

In the resource-starved Gobi Desert of Northwest China in 1962, the compound’s most stylish logistics officer reports country girl Su Nian for corruption, because she dares to eat her fill every day! During her interrogation by the security office, Lu Zongping, the youngest senior engineer at Top-Secret Base 091, smiles faintly and produces a specially approved nutrition ration slip. A scientific genius mentored by Qian Xuesen, Lu Zongping not only has design skills decades ahead of his time, but also the social savvy to thrive in any corner of the system. He knows his wife Su Nian has the unbeatable protection of being the orphan of a Changjin Lake martyr, and he also knows her secret: once she’s full, she gives off an irresistible, sweet fragrance. Determined to keep his delicate wife safe under his wing, this innocent powerhouse launches into a hard-core routine of scrounging ration coupons, outmaneuvering awful neighbors, and casually building a missile. But when night falls and the doors are shut, how long can Engineer Lu keep his composure with that deadly milky scent in the air?
