Whenever the Little Rascal Squanders Money, His Father Gets Promoted

Shen Niannian, a financial-sector white-collar worker, dies suddenly from working overtime and opens her eyes to find herself reborn as the three-year-old daughter of the most corrupt official in Great Chu.

Three years later, the new emperor will ascend the throne, the entire Shen family will be executed, and she'll be hung on the city wall for three days.

Luckily, she's bound to the Baby's Spendthrift System: if she squanders one hundred billion taels of the family fortune or gets exiled, she'll be able to return to the modern world with a billion in retirement money!

So three-year-old Shen Niannian starts doing everything she can to get herself in trouble:

Buy moldy old rice? She's hailed as the “Sage of Mud and Water”!

Smash some colored glass? She brings about peace talks between two nations!

Dig up the whole back garden? She saves half a city of plague victims!

The more money she squanders, the more famous she gets. The more trouble she makes, the faster her father gets promoted.

Shen Niannian clings to her father's leg and wails: “Dad! Please, be a little more corrupt! Our family are treacherous officials! Stop getting promoted!!”

Shen Wanjin wipes away tears of emotion. “What a good daughter. Just like your dad!”
