The invasion manifests as supernatural rules taking effect in certain areas, with death awaiting anyone who breaks them. Only a handful of people can “see” traces of these rules. The protagonist’s ability lets him see each rule’s “loopholes” and “priority ranking” directly, allowing him to survive supernatural incidents by exploiting bugs and turn the rules against themselves.
