Historical anti-harem intrigue + mystery and investigation + a sickly, highly intelligent heroine. From the start, the heroine is terminally ill, abandoned by her family, and married into a tomb for the living dead, brought as low as she can be. Her golden finger is neither universal medical skill nor powerful spiritual abilities, but “olfactory synesthesia” and “mediumistic talent”: through scents, she can sense unjust deaths that occurred in a place. This draws her unwillingly into a string of connected mysterious cases. She must uncover the truth and stay alive, cure herself or survive past her time limit, help the comatose prince wake up, and ultimately turn around her seemingly doomed fate. The story replaces the harem genre’s “women competing against women” with “solving cases together” and cooperation, filling the emotional gap left by the heroine’s frailty forcing her out of the competition.
