Outside the Military Compound, a Hot Mom Repairs Guns Barehanded and Turns Her Life Around

In 1965, Lin Wanqiu was the most unremarkable young wife in a small northern town. Her husband's family exploited her, her own family bled her dry, and she struggled through each day with her little girl. Everyone said she was worthless and had no future.

To protect her child, she forced her way through the military district gates, only to be drawn into an internal investigation and a web of power struggles.

No one knew she had a natural gift for repairing weapons and crafting guns.

Starting with the repair of a decommissioned machine gun, she began shedding the label of "useless daughter-in-law" one step at a time. She cut ties with her family, divorced, and put down roots in the military district.

Her in-laws knelt and begged her to take them back? Too late.

Her family wept and begged to share in her good fortune? Not a chance.

She would protect the children and earn a respectable future for herself.

But the more she investigated the child's origins, the deeper the mystery became, and more and more people set their sights on her...

Outside the military district walls, can she build a real home of her own?
