Fragrance Across the Hills: An ’80s Spicy Mama Makes a Fortune Hunting in the Mountains with Her Kids

[Satisfying Farming Story] [Adorable Baby in a Bygone Era] [Making a Fortune in the Mountains] [Big Shot with a Secret Identity] [Twins] [Marriage Before Love] [Rugged Hero Protects His Wife]

(Note: From the start, she's a poor young widow in Kaoshan Village with two kids. She'll rise to become the richest person in the county! Her golden finger isn't a pocket dimension. It's a family of three who can grow crops, read the mountains, and bring good fortune!)

Su Daoxiang opens her eyes and finds herself transformed into the most miserable young widow in Kaoshan Village, Northeast China, in 1980.

Her husband went hunting in the mountains and never came back. Her in-laws resent her for bringing two kids into the family, want to take her house and cut off her food rations, and are even trying to sell her for a mere two taels of silver to the old widower next door.

Hah.

Su Daoxiang feels the twins in her arms, crying from hunger, then looks at her own hands, which can make crops grow like crazy and tell at a glance the quality of mountain produce.

Fine. She'll take charge of this poor mountain village.

She digs for ginseng, hunts, plants spirit fields, and sells mountain goods, leading her two kids to a life that makes the whole village green with envy.

Tiedan has keen ears. He can pinpoint where the mountain's treasures are just by listening. Tangbao is a little lucky charm: anyone who's kind to her finds good fortune.

But... can that demobilized, rugged man who squats outside her house every day chopping wood and carrying water, then keeps tossing his game onto her stove, stop blushing and pretending he's just passing by?

Lu Zhanbei: "Wifey, I've chopped the wood, and I've taken care of the kids. When are you letting me in?"
