A Marriage with an Agenda

Everyone in Beijing's elite circles knows Qu Yi, the Qu family's daughter, as a notorious spoiled socialite. She's good at eating, drinking, and having fun, spends money like water, and is said to bring a lifetime of bad luck to whoever marries her. Then the eldest daughter of the Qu family, Qu Xin, runs away from her wedding, and Qu Yi takes her place, marrying Jiang Chixu, the richest man in the country. Rumor has it that her husband is old, ugly, and violent. That's all hearsay! Her husband is in great shape. Best of all, he's quick to give her money and never shows his face. After the wedding, Qu Yi becomes Mrs. Jiang, the envy of everyone. Qu Xin regrets it bitterly. When she returns, she cries to Jiang Chixu, “Mr. Jiang, I was the one you were supposed to marry, not Qu Yi. She has ulterior motives!” “The knife in Qu Yi's hand, would she have it if I hadn't handed it to her?” Qu Yi stares blankly, with nowhere to hide the divorce papers in her hand. Jiang Chixu's eyes are bloodshot. “Mrs. Jiang, has my blade gone dull? Are you looking for a new one?”
