On My First Day Reborn, I Became Desk Mates With a Brooding Boy

[Both reborn + sweet campus romance + clear-eyed heiress + obsessive, handsome and tragic hero + lighthearted revenge]

In her previous life, Sheng Zhi had let love cloud her judgment. She ruined her reputation over her selfish childhood sweetheart and fiancé, dragged the entire Sheng family down with her, and died tragically on a rainy night in a pileup.

Only after death, when her soul refused to leave, did she see the gloomy boy Qi Yan, whom she had despised and treated like a monster. He was searching frantically for her at the scene in the pouring rain, then personally gathered her remains.

Reborn, Sheng Zhi returns to the day seats are assigned at the start of her senior year.

Dozens of eyes in the class are waiting to see the spoiled heiress make a fool of herself, expecting her to throw another hysterical fit over her childhood sweetheart.

But Sheng Zhi simply dusts off her clothes, doesn’t even spare the scumbag a glance, and briskly picks up her bag. She heads straight to the last row and sits beside the gloomy top student everyone avoids.

“Deskmate, I’m not sitting in my old seat anymore. From now on, I’ll have your back at Mingli.”

The heiress has purged her lovesick brain, and her IQ shoots straight to the top!

She thinks she’s the only one saving this poor boy from a broken home, but little by little, Sheng Zhi realizes something is off.

Why is this cold, withdrawn boy, who blushes even when he glances at her, solving in-class quizzes with methods six months ahead of the curriculum?

Why is he clutching in his pocket the exact obscure mint candy she loved most before she died in her previous life?

Sheng Zhi, suspiciously probing: “Qi Yan, be honest. Were you reborn too?”
