The Fate-Dice Haunted Realm

At midnight, an ordinary delivery driver named Lin Ye received an order to deliver food to Fu'an Apartments. The address belonged to a residential complex that had burned down eighteen years ago. The only note said: Don’t knock. The Lin Ye inside will open the door for you. The door really did open. Another person who looked exactly like him stood inside. In the haunted domain, Lin Ye discovered that all the residents were victims of the fire, yet new orders kept appearing. If he got a name wrong or signed for someone else’s delivery, a living person would be added to the list of the dead. To escape alive, he picked up a black fate die. It could change the final move at a crossroads between life and death, but its price never disappeared. A memory, a year of life, even the life of a stranger could be demanded in this bargain. Only when the die’s first pip turned black did Lin Ye understand: every time he escaped, he might be passing a dead end on to someone else. A seven-year-old boy in the fire surveillance footage, his mother who had been missing for years, and the name “Lin Ye” that kept appearing in the recipient field all led him toward a nonexistent Metro Line 13. There were no passengers from today aboard the train, yet outside the windows, six real versions of Linjiang City rolled past side by side.
