After a Fake Marriage with My Nemesis, He Fell for Me

[Interstellar ABO, enemies to lovers, marriage first and love later, political marriage between business and government, two powerful leads, one-on-one]

Battle-hardened Alpha He Chengxing × scheming and ruthless Omega Gu Shiyan

After peace was made between the Federation and the Free Star Territories, the neutral border regions remained the focal point of political maneuvering. He Chengxing, an Alpha in the military, was assigned to enter a political marriage with Gu Shiyan, heir to the Gu financial conglomerate in the neutral territories, to stabilize the border economic zone.

At just twenty-three, Gu Shiyan was an Omega with A-grade mental strength. He had single-handedly shorted three publicly traded corporations and earned the nickname “the Milky Way’s Meat Grinder.” Three years earlier, he had also become He Chengxing’s sworn enemy after hearing him say, “Omegas are too emotional when it comes to business.”

Forced to sign a two-year marriage contract, they agreed to live their own lives, put on an act in public, and never develop real feelings. He Chengxing was confident he could stick to the rules.

But in their first month living together, Gu Shiyan turned his study into a conference room. He Chengxing put up with it. In the third month, Gu Shiyan walked out of the bedroom wearing his shirt, making He Chengxing’s breath catch for two whole seconds. Half a year later, Gu Shiyan was feverish and delirious, clinging to his arm and murmuring, “Chengxing.” He Chengxing lay awake all night. The third clause, “no real feelings,” was the first to fall.

Then an unexpected turn of events, a surprise medical diagnosis, shattered their rule against crossing boundaries. Holding the report, Gu Shiyan found He Chengxing and asked coldly, “This was supposed to be a marriage of convenience where we stayed out of each other’s way. How did it become a bond tying us together?”

He Chengxing froze, remembering the advice his elders had once given him. He could only sigh inwardly.

The news was sent to the He family group chat, which immediately erupted as friends and relatives took turns teasing them. This is the quick version; see the main story for the full version.
