Socially Doomed UP Creator Seeks Occult Makeover, Applications Open

[Bickering Couple] + [Sweet Romance] + [Metaphysics] + [Happy Ending] + [Both Leads Are Virgins]

Su Mo, nicknamed the “Mother of Bad Luck,” chokes when she drinks, trips when she walks, and has her computer crash one second before she can finish a livestreamed illustration.

At her wit's end, she rents a quaint old house, never guessing that her landlord, Lu Xuan, is a metaphysics expert with severe germophobia and obsessive-compulsive disorder!

When they first meet, he looks at her with a deep frown. “You're the strongest human-shaped source of baleful energy I've ever met. Stay away from me.”

To protect the fortune of his ancestral home, a written “Fortune-Changing Agreement” binds them together.

From then on, Su Mo's life becomes a living nightmare: she has to get up at five in the morning to practice tai chi, takeout is classified as “turbid-energy food,” and even her paintbrushes have to be “blessed” by him!

Su Mo: “I believe in science! You're a superstitious charlatan!”

Lu Xuan: “This is ancient environmental science. Also, I already disposed of the barbecue you ordered last night. Drink this health soup.”

Su Mo thinks this is just a battle of “science versus metaphysics,” until she is plagiarized by a rival and gets attacked across the internet. Lu Xuan speaks up for her on his verified account for the first time, citing his sources and defending her with every word.

That's when she realizes that for all his complaints, this man has already laid down the safest protective ward around her.

Later, the entire metaphysics community is stunned: the aloof, chaste, otherworldly Master Lu has fallen head over heels for a “little jinx.”

Lu Xuan: “My wife isn't a jinx. She's my good fortune. And my good fortune is mine alone to enjoy.”
