Slay the Gods: Embers After Nightfall

My name is Shen Ye. My ability is called “Return to Silence”: it severs every connection to divine power. When I arrived at Outpost E-03 on the southwestern frontier, there were only four unofficial night watchmen stationed there. They guarded a boundary marker that was falling apart. On the other side lay an ancient god on the verge of awakening, and behind them was a headquarters that didn't trust them. I had meant to help them hold the line. Instead, they taught me one thing: Stand your ground. Don't retreat. Even when the one facing you is a true god.
