Great Ming: This Prince Is So Rich, the Qing Army Lines Up to Surrender

In 1645, a hundred thousand Manchu cavalry surrounded Yangzhou.

The city had run out of food, the wounded filled every street, and Minister of War Shi Kefa had written five surrender letters, all rejected. Eight hundred thousand soldiers and civilians were about to face a massacre of unimaginable brutality!

Just as all seemed lost, Lu Changyuan, a special forces instructor from the future, transmigrated into the Ming Dynasty as the dim-witted Prince Ding, Zhu Cijiong, and activated the [Territorial Tycoon System].

As long as the people of the Ming Dynasty sincerely acknowledged him, each person would produce one tael of silver and a vast amount of supplies every day!

Eight hundred thousand people in Yangzhou? That meant eight hundred thousand taels a day!

And so, everything about life in Yangzhou changed completely.

Shi Kefa was about to kill himself for his country when Zhu Cijiong kicked open the door. “Lord Shi, take these eight hundred thousand taels to pay the troops! If that’s not enough, there’ll be more tomorrow!”

Outside the city, the Qing army chewed on grass roots and struggled to attack under the blazing sun.

On the city walls, Ming soldiers ate braised pork, each armed with a flintlock rifle, with cannons beside them. A reward of one hundred taels of silver was offered for every Qing soldier killed!

Dorgon broke down, spitting blood. “This is impossible! The Ming treasury was empty! Where did Zhu Cijiong get all that silver? My Eight Banners warriors have been crushed under a mountain of money!”

The Southern Ming Hongguang Emperor stared in disbelief. “I can’t even afford a bowl of porridge in Nanjing, while he’s handing out gold bars every day in Yangzhou?”

Traitor Hong Chengchou knelt and begged for mercy. “Your Highness Prince Ding, I’m willing to surrender!”

Zhu Cijiong sneered and drew his blade. “No mercy for traitors. Wipe out every Manchu invader! I’ll make the rules for the Ming!”

Starting from Yangzhou: raise an army, spend money, and advance technology!

The sun will never set on the Ming, and it all begins with throwing money around like crazy!
