Forcing Me to Take the Fall? My Disclaimer Makes My Boss Furious

On his first day at work, Lin Yan’s immediate superior pressures him to sign off on an illegal inspection form and take the fall. He doesn’t argue or make a scene. Instead, his risk-control instincts kick in instantly. Every fatal loophole and legally sound countermeasure appears crystal clear to him. Lin Yan adjusts his gold-rimmed glasses, smiles, and pulls out a ten-page personal guarantee accepting unlimited joint liability for his assets. He turns on his body camera and politely asks his superior to leave a fingerprint and waive his right to a defense. Faced with a liability waiver harder than stone, his superior is so scared he wets himself on the spot. From then on, the workplace has a new gentlemanly devil. You bring up unwritten rules, he pulls out the Criminal Law. You use the greater good to pressure people, he invokes the Anti-Terrorism Law and blows open your illegal vault. It isn’t until senior executives are stunned to discover that this lone wolf has used compliance procedures to crush a hundred-billion-yuan black-money empire!
