The Young Master's Darling Is His Dearest Treasure

Everyone says Ji Shiheng, the eldest young master of the Ji family, is righteous and noble, unmatched in elegance, and a rare gentleman with a warm, refined nature.

Only Su Zhixia knows that beneath that gentle exterior lies the heart of a ruthless, obsessive madman.

When the Su family was wrongfully accused, she traveled a thousand miles to beg him to clear her father's name.

He spared no effort to help her and kept her safe. In her darkest hour, he was her only salvation.

Grateful and falling for him, she gave herself over completely, believing she had found the right man and could entrust him with the rest of her life.

But the power struggles between great families and the rigid divide between their ranks eventually crushed every last shred of tenderness.

The First Madam obstructed them at every turn. To sever their bond, she secretly petitioned the emperor for an imperial decree.

By imperial order, Ji Shiheng was forced to marry Liu Zhiyu, the proud daughter of the Chancellor's household.

He sought Su Zhixia out, coaxed her softly, and promised her all his affection:

“Zhixia, I have no choice but to marry her, but my love for you is real. Become my concubine, and I will cherish only you for the rest of my life.”

Su Zhixia, who would rather break than bend, rejected him outright.

She wanted neither a love that was less than whole nor to share a husband with another woman.

When he saw her laughing and talking with another man, his gaze turned obsessive and vicious.

At night, he trapped her in his arms:

“Su Zhixia, your eyes can only see me.”

She refused to be a pet bird caged in his palm, and would not become a plaything for his desire.

With no way out, she laid a deadly trap, faked her death, and vanished into the mountains where she had once lived.

She thought that with the world so vast between them, they would never cross paths again and she would finally be free.

But she had no idea that her death tore away Ji Shiheng's last pretense of being a gentleman.

He went mad, searching for her across a thousand miles, scouring the land in an obsessive frenzy...
