You Sent Me to the Grassroots, and Now Every Corrupt Official in Town Is Losing Their Mind

Qu Nanqiao, a young woman born in the 2000s who has just graduated, is selected to serve as a village official in troubled Mangshan Village.

The village still clings to outdated customs of pressuring people into marriage, neighborly disputes are frequent, and some villagers doubt the new young official and resist cooperating with village affairs at every turn.

Faced with a tangle of thorny problems, Qu Nanqiao keeps her head down and puts policy into practice: she visits households to explain new regulations and root out harmful customs, mediates water and electricity disputes using her legal knowledge, and diligently surveys the village to identify its resources.

She goes from a newcomer who hits a wall at every turn to someone who gradually wins over the villagers with tangible results and plans distinctive industries suited to local conditions.

Through hard work, she tackles the village’s many challenges, leads Mangshan Village beyond its reputation for backwardness, and ultimately earns the trust and support of its people, forging a path to rural revitalization of her own.
