Great Qin Watches the Screen: Why Does This Rebel Look Like Me?

In the twenty-seventh year of the First Emperor’s reign, a sky screen descends upon Great Qin, opening with a rundown of “The Greatest Rebel of All Time”!

The sky screen reveals everything: thirteen years from now, a young man named Zhao Xuange will raise the banner of rebellion and bring down the Great Qin Empire!

The First Emperor is furious. The entire court is brimming with murderous intent, vowing to find the traitor and exterminate his whole clan!

But when the fully armed Great Qin cavalry escorts the young rebel, a master strategist who has been secretly stockpiling gunpowder, into the Xianyang Palace…

The entire court falls deathly silent.

Li Si swallows nervously, while Wang Jian goes cold from head to toe.

It is because the young man’s defiant features look exactly like the First Emperor on the throne when he was young!

Ying Zheng looks at Zhao Xuange below, who seems completely unfazed, then at the sky screen showing “Firearms sweeping away the remnants of the Six States” and “The Great Qin Empire on which the sun never sets,” and sinks into deep thought.

“If I exterminate his whole clan… wouldn’t I have to execute myself too?”

Zhao Xuange rolls his eyes. “Cut the nonsense. The remnants of the Six States are about to rebel. Are you abdicating or not? If you don’t, I’ll take the troops and do this on my own!”

After that, Great Qin’s style takes a sharp turn.

Hu Hai is sent off to dig potatoes, Liu Bang becomes Great Qin’s top intelligence chief, and Xiang Yu stares at the hot-air balloons and cannons filling the sky, questioning his entire existence.

The entire court drops to its knees in unison. “Your Highness, please ascend the throne already! Stop tormenting us old ministers!”
