Recommend Some Good Books with Basic Common Sense

No school or academy settings, school beauties, goddesses, empresses, harems, male-male pairings, saintly heroines, teams where one person drags along several deadweights, or characters who act less than human and look for someone to own them.

Don't go overboard!

Looking for Ensemble Casts, Not One Woman with a Harem of Men. I Want a Cast with Multiple Women and Men.

X can equal Y, anything goes. Just don't make the protagonist in an ensemble cast a male-female lead duo plus their little entourage, and don't make it a male or female lead plus their entourage. The writing should be decent.
