I Really Am Straight! He's the One with the Problem!

Two male leads / told in the bottom’s first person / goofy, snarky humor / campus

I always thought my sexual orientation was perfectly normal.

That was until college started and I met my roommate.

He looks like a proper human being, keeps a terrifyingly regular schedule, and manages me like an unruly cat.

I stay up late, he unplugs the router.

My stomach hurts, he goes out to buy medicine in the middle of the night.

I said what we had was pure brotherly affection, but then I was the one who couldn’t sleep because he’d spent a few extra words talking to someone else.

At first, I thought this was a normal emotional bond between roommates.

Later, I realized I was the one who wasn’t normal.

Even more frighteningly, my seemingly serious and levelheaded roommate seems to have known all along that I’d fall for him.
