Mr. Shi, a Three-Million-Yuan Welcome Gift

“I thought I was the one flirting with her. Turns out she was the one flirting with me.”

Wen Miao, 26, has been single all her life. Her motto: I can live without a man, but I can’t live without money.

Shi Yu, 35, comes from an elite family and has been single for eight years. He had a life-changing romance when he was young, but ever since, his heart has been still.

The first time he saw her, his heart skipped a beat. He hesitated for three seconds: He was nine years older. Would a young woman like her even be interested?

By the third second, he had made up his mind.

Everyone thought this irresistible man was making a move on an innocent young woman. Only Shi Yu knew the truth: Wen Miao was the one who took his hand first.

A three-million-yuan gift, with the notarized document clearly stating that he would never ask for it back, whether they got together or not.

A car after one year, a house after two.

Wen Miao was just about to pick out a floor plan when an engagement ring arrived first.

“We’ll talk about the house after we get married.”

Looking down at the enormous diamond, she thought: This man is so calculating.

But she held out her hand, smiling sweeter than anyone.
