A Mountain Man in the Seventies: Hunting and Raising Three Little Ones

In 1975, heavy snow sealed off the mountains, and a devastating cold famine swept across the Greater Khingan Range.

In his previous life, Lu Xiao was honest and dutiful, but every animal he hunted ended up in the bellies of his parasitic stepmother and younger brother. In the end, his stunningly beautiful educated-youth wife and their three adorable daughters froze to death in a drafty woodshed.

Reborn at the desperate moment when his wife was about to jump into an icy river with their children, Lu Xiao’s eyes blaze with fury. He kicks away his wicked younger brother, who is trying to steal his hunting rifle!

To hell with filial piety! To hell with holding back!

He cuts ties with his family, moves out, and takes his wife and daughters to a deserted hunter’s cabin deep in the mountains, where wild beasts roam!

Everyone in the village waits to hear that the Lu family is dead, laughing that it will take less than three days for wolves to gnaw them down to their bones.

No one knows that Lu Xiao has awakened the Mountain God Space. He can hit every shot, purify fierce beasts, and make mountain treasures grow faster!

While everyone in the village survives on tree bark and his awful stepmother and younger brother grow skin and bones from hunger,

firelight flickers in a cabin deep in the snowy mountains.

Lu Xiao holds three soft, cuddly little girls in his arms, while wild ginseng and pheasant stew bubbles fragrantly in the clay pot.

“Daddy, I’m tired of bear paws and matsutake. I want big strawberries!”

His awful relatives kneel in the snow, begging for a bowl of hot soup? Lu Xiao racks his rifle. “Two lynxes, get them!”
