Urban Farming Dad

My name is Lin Fan, and I’m a farmer.

When my daughter Nuonuo was three, her mother divorced me, saying I had no money and no prospects.

I took her back to the poor village where I was born and moved into the old house that was about to collapse.

Back then, I thought that was how my life would be from then on.

Later, I planted a small patch of bok choy in the backyard.

Then I planted ten mu of rice.

And after that, I planted a tea garden, built a resort, and created a brand called Yulong.

Over the years, some people have called me President Lin, others have called me Village Chief Lin, and still others have called me a leader in rural revitalization.

But the thing I like best is what Nuonuo says when she introduces me to people.

“This is my dad. He’s a farmer.”
