The Fake Magistrate

Li Ziwei, the Empress of Great Zhou, went undercover on an inspection tour to see what the realm was like after the war.

But in Nanping County, a county magistrate swindled her out of a hundred thousand taels of silver.

A cup of tea cost twenty taels, a bar of soap sold for a fortune, and even parking came with a fee for a horse to give her a massage.

She was so furious she wanted to have him executed, but then she saw that the concrete roads built by this crooked official were smoother than those in the capital, that his penicillin had saved the entire prefecture, and that he could even use gunpowder to blast mountains and tame floods.

Even more outrageous, the scoundrel had dared to kiss her and even take pictures of her…

Li Ziwei gritted her teeth. “Lin Fan, are you a capable minister who can bring peace to the realm, or do you want to become My Imperial Husband?”
