Honghuang: If I Don't Bring Them Together, Who Will Resolve the Calamity?

[Primordial World, Wild Ideas]+ [Threads of Fate]+ [Tribulation Planning]+ [Mastermind Behind the Scenes]+ [Lighthearted Comedy]

Zhou Xuan transmigrates to the Primordial World and, from the start, becomes an innate red-string vine at the foot of Buzhou Mountain.

Born with the ability to see fated relationships and connect cause and effect, he seems to have an extraordinary origin.

But the problem is, this is the Primordial World!

When the dragons, phoenixes, and qilin start fighting, he gets caught up in the karma.

When the Witch and Demon races are about to go to war, he gets caught up in the karma.

Even when a Sage casually makes a move, this vine of his could get swept into a tribulation.

Zhou Xuan is at his wit's end.

The Primordial World is so dangerous. What did a vine like him ever do to anyone?

So he decides not to take human form, not to leave the mountain, and not to tie any threads. He'll just bury himself at the foot of Buzhou Mountain and lie low until the end of time.

But just then, the Book of Marriage and Karma awakens.

As long as he ties a destined red thread, he'll earn merit, fortune, and rewards from the Great Dao.

His first assignment is to bring Di Jun and Xihe together and help the Demon Emperor complete his celestial marriage.

Zhou Xuan falls silent on the spot.

Tie that thread, and the Demon Race's Fortune will surge, bringing the Witch-Demon Tribulation ahead of schedule.

When Buzhou Mountain falls, won't he be done for too?

Tie the thread?

Not a chance!

Zhou Xuan immediately cuts the red thread instead.

But he soon discovers that cutting dangerous karmic ties earns merit too!

And so the Primordial World starts taking a very strange turn.

Di Jun's celestial marriage falls through, Hongyun's deadly fate is altered, the Investiture of the Gods can't find anyone to put on its list, and the West's rise gets stuck halfway through.

Hongjun surveys the Primordial World and can no longer sit still.

“Who is meddling with the will of Heaven?”

Hiding beneath Buzhou Mountain, with billions of red threads hanging behind him, Zhou Xuan can't help sighing:

“I really never meant to change the Primordial World.”

“But if I don't tie the threads, who will resolve the tribulations?”
