A Promise Beneath the Fir Trees

A calculated scheme turns her from the capital’s most celebrated socialite into a tabloid reporter who makes a living taking sneaky photos.

A contract makes her the “wife for three months” of the capital’s cold-blooded tycoon.

Shen Yuan thinks it’s a simple transaction: she needs his help to bring down the enemy who killed her mother, and he needs a nominal Mrs. Lu to stabilize his family. Once the three months are up, they’ll go their separate ways.

Lu Siheng has spent five years setting up a game, every move as precise as a blade, every piece pointing toward the same ending: having Shen Yuan by his side. But he accounted for every variable except one.
