Don't Get Cocky, Punk

The thing Huo Tangtang regrets most in her life is getting caught by Xiao Ye while ordering male escorts at a bar.

The man kicked open the private room door, threw the two escorts out, then pinned her to the sofa and kissed her in front of everyone. As his fingers slipped inside her, he whispered filthy words in her ear: “I thought you were pretty bold.”

Huo Tangtang slapped him. “Xiao Ye, you bastard.”

Xiao Ye licked the blood from the corner of his mouth and grinned, roguish and infuriating. “That’s not what you were saying just now.”

She’s a spoiled heiress and a drummer who won’t put up with the slightest grievance.

He’s a fearsome boxing champion with a filthy mouth, wandering hands, and a terrifyingly possessive streak.

The two make a bet: within a month, he’ll make her willingly say, “I’m Xiao Ye’s woman.”

Huo Tangtang sneers. “If you lose, get out of my life.”

Xiao Ye narrows his eyes at her. “I won’t lose.”

But he doesn’t know that the outcome of this game was set from the very beginning.

Later, when her family goes bankrupt, he appears out of nowhere and shoves property keys and a black card into her hands. “You don’t have to take them. In that case, I’ll move in with you.”

Later, at his title defense, she shows up beside the ring with her drum kit and blows the crowd away with a solo. Covered in blood, he climbs out of the ring and hangs the championship belt around her neck. “This belongs to you. So do I.”

And later still, everyone realizes that the arrogant, roguish boxing champion has been wrapped around Huo Tangtang’s finger like a dog.

He kneels willingly, and even thinks he got the better deal.

Don’t get cocky. In the end, someone always comes along who can handle you.
