Pokemon: My Farm Became the Only Shelter

In this world, Pokemon are no longer just companions.

The black market buys and sells them by the pound. Underground labs dissect their organs to extract abilities. Pirate ships transport them as cargo in Poke Balls.

Gu Qi has no connections, no Champion-level talent, and not even a Pokemon of his own. All he inherits is a rundown farm weighed down with debt, clogged irrigation channels, and an ancient tree that’s nearly withered.

Then he touches the ancient Qiguang Tree and awakens the Abundance Resonance System.

The happier his Pokemon are, the stronger the farm becomes. The more the land yields, the stronger his companions get.

So Gu Qi takes up farming: he rescues a proud Snivy and puts it in charge of the nursery; gets a Pikachu to generate electricity and keep pests away; takes in a Squirtle to water the crops, a Growlithe to guard the farm at night, a Combee to pollinate the flowers, and a Miltank to provide milk.

Other people train Pokemon through battles. He does it by feeding them, building them nests, assigning them jobs, and harvesting fruit.

The black market comes to steal them? The moment they step into the pen, Snivy knocks them flat with a Vine Whip.

Pirates try to seize the ancient tree? A whole bunch of soft-looking little critters pin them down in the fields.

Everyone outside thinks it’s just a broken-down farm.

Gu Qi flips through his ledger: Today’s harvest: three baskets of Pecha Berries. Water purity: +2.

As for the storm raging outside?

I’ll finish watering this row first.
