You Asked Me to Commentate on the National Team, Not Carry Honey Mi to Victory

Su Chen transmigrates to a parallel world and discovers that the Chinese music scene is rotten to the core.

Fans hail off-key idol singers with breathy, leaky voices as heavenly, worship the spastic performances of industry leaders as avant-garde art, and praise piles of meaningless lyrics as the pinnacle of traditional Chinese style.

Bound to the God-Tier Emotional Breakdown System, he can draw rewards and grow stronger by making people lose their cool.

When a Berklee-trained prodigy pushes a supposedly god-tier live performance on him, Su Chen hits pause in front of a hundred livestream viewers and strips away a million layers of audio filters: “Every high note is forced, and you leak air like a crack in a broken door. Other singers perform for money, but your precious idol sings like he’s trying to kill us! You call that a high note? That’s a purebred Tibetan yak!”

The fandom across the internet loses it, shouting, “If you can do better, get up there. If you can’t, shut up!”

Su Chen picks up a beat-up ten-yuan wooden guitar and launches a massacre of the entire entertainment industry!

His revamped “Big Fish” dives down to the deep-sea whale notes of C2, then soars to the siren song of D6. He performs a heavenly male-female duet all by himself, leaving the original singer from the national team stunned enough to show up in person!

His “Left Hand Points to the Moon” unleashes god-tier G6 vocal fry and a delicate mixed register that pierces the heavens, blowing the crowns off three million viewers!

His black-metal version of “The Lone Warrior” brings millions of workers to tears and draws praise from the Ziguang Pavilion, CCTV, and others: “This is what the true voice of our age sounds like!”

From blasting fake traditional-style music for its zombie disco routines to taking on and shutting up Grammy-winning musicians across the ocean, Su Chen single-handedly strips the entertainment industry down to nothing!

The record-label giants join forces to issue a copyright blacklist, leaving Su Chen with no songs to sing.

His haters celebrate, while paid trolls pile on: “A parasite with no original songs of his own. Get ready to make a fool of yourself!”

Cornered, Su Chen sneers: “The songs these losers are afraid to sing, I’ll sing! The lyrics they can’t write, I’ll write!”
