Breakthrough Between Life and Death

In the Yellow River flood zone, 1938. A fire destroys the Japanese army’s top-secret biochemical files, leaving blind Old Song as the only “living codebook” who remembers the names of Japanese spies. Chen Jinglei, a retired veteran whose wife and daughter were brutally killed by Japanese bayonets, rescues Old Song in the muddy, flooded wasteland. He leads a band of water-fearing deserters carrying the blood feud of their entire village, a desperate poison doctor whose whole family has been wiped out, and an armless miner who has lost his wife and children. Aboard a lone skiff, they launch a desperate escape through a cholera outbreak and a Japanese blockade by special motorboats. There is no turning back in this bloody, breakneck flight. Even if flesh and blood are torn apart, they will carry the spark of resistance out of this death-filled swamp!
