I Grill Gluten Skewers, and Their Aroma Brings the Ancestor Out of Seclusion

Some seek the Dao with a sword, others prove it with pills,

but he stubbornly guards a single iron wok:

five flavors as his guide, charcoal fire as his furnace, and gluten as his soul.

When the first wisp of “vitality” and fragrance drifts past the sect gates,

all the raging qi suddenly turns gentle as a stream;

all the savage martial spirits fall quiet...

after one bite of crispy gluten.

The most domineering Dao in this world has never been about cleaving heaven and earth apart.

It's about making the fiercest people willingly lay down their swords and pick up a bowl.
