Great Song: Who'd Still Be a Spendthrift Heir After Transmigrating?

[Northern Song Dynasty] [Spendthrift System] [Misunderstandings] [Daddy’s Girl] “Oh no! Father’s brain illness is acting up again! He says he’s going to sit the imperial examinations and become the top scholar!” I’d just transmigrated into the body of the Prince of Yan’s heir in the Northern Song Dynasty. I wanted to rally everyone to save the realm, but my four-year-old daughter reported me, and I nearly got turned into a genuine imbecile when the imperial physician stuck me with eighty-one silver needles! Even worse, the System warned me: 【Start wasting money at once, or you’ll regress into your former life as a champion cockfighter and be forced to fail at transmigration.】 Fine, you want me to waste money? I’m a natural! Selling off every imperial gift in the prince’s residence? That’s just raising seed capital! Buying ninety thousand shi of old grain to fill a dried-up pond? That’s monopolizing the grain market and shorting the powerful ministers! Giving five hundred thousand taels of silver to refugees outside the city? That’s securing land and building infrastructure for an ironclad defense! Cai Jing wants to profit from a national disaster? I’ll kick over the banquet table and smash your plate! A prince wants to climb over me to get ahead? I’ll lecture you in the Imperial Academy until you question your whole life! But the more money I waste, the more the emperor thinks I’m loyal! “He isn’t competing for the throne. He’s ruining his own reputation to prove his loyalty! Reward him!” Wait, I really am wasting money! When the Mongol cavalry of the Jingkang Disaster drew near Bianjing, the entire court suddenly realized that the wastrel heir, rumored to suffer from a brain illness, had drawn the sharpest blade in the Great Song. Who says a spoiled playboy can’t decide the fate of the realm?!
