The Eunuch Faction Holds Power. Kneel Before Me!

Lin An was an ordinary man from a later age. He died of lung cancer at the age of thirty-two.

After meeting the King of the Underworld, he said, “I wish to be an emperor and enjoy the company of three palaces and six courtyards.” The King of the Underworld laughed and granted his wish.

When he awoke, he was lying in a cleansing chamber. His manhood was already gone.

An old eunuch hurried over to inspect him and said, “You haven’t been properly cleaned. We’ll have to cut again.”

Lin An cried out, “I’m still useful!”

It was the thirteenth year of the Chenghua reign of the Great Ming. Consort Wan’s favor surpassed that of all the other women in the palace. Wang Zhi entered the palace as a beautiful boy, soon took charge of the Western Depot, and wielded power across the court. Eunuch Huai En of the Directorate of Ceremonial guarded him in secret, but had kept a secret for nine years. The treacherous eunuch Gao Ping had spent thirty years laying his plans, seeking to burn away the blood of all those deemed “impure.”

With his mutilated body, Lin An navigated the worlds of Consort Wan, Wang Zhi, Huai En, and Gao Ping, crawling out of a cesspit and returning from a sea of flames.

He would not be a pawn.

He would flip the board.
