A Guide to Lying Flat in Showbiz: Starting by Clinging to Dilraba

Wu Liang, a food delivery rider who died suddenly in 2025, is reborn in 2012, during the summer after his junior year of college. With the memory that comes as a perk of being reborn, he promptly tricks 1 million yuan in New Year’s gift money from his childhood friend, the star Reba, and puts it all into Bitcoin. His plan is to lie flat until 2020 and become financially free. But two years later, Reba becomes moderately famous thanks to Eternal Love of Dream, and her company needs to assemble a team. She immediately sticks this freeloading, couch-surfing slacker on the team as her assistant, calling it “repayment.”

And so, the entertainment industry’s most outrageous assistant is born: he drives without a license, lies flat instead of carrying bags, sets the kitchen on fire when he cooks, takes two boxed lunches, and even drags a top-tier star along to play video games, visit anime conventions, and get foot massages. When Reba realizes that this slacker has thrown both her career and her love life off course, her expression gradually changes. “I only wanted you to work like a dog for me. How did you turn me into a clown?”
