Da Mimi and Her Laid-Back Husband

Yang Mi, a top-tier star in domestic entertainment, has both beauty and a successful career, but faces the ultimate challenge of her parents pressuring her to get married. To find some peace and quiet, she turns to the most "harmless" slacker at her company: Lu Ze.

Lu Ze is reborn. By the age of 25, he's financially independent, and his only goal in life is to lie flat. He works as an administrative assistant at Jiaxing Entertainment, earning 6,000 yuan a month. His hobbies include fishing, building model kits, and daydreaming on the clock.

A marriage-of-convenience agreement forces their parallel lives together. She needs him to play her "husband" and deal with her family; he wants the "protection" she offers so he can slack off in peace. Yang Mi thinks she's found an easygoing backdrop, but Lu Ze takes his slacker spirit to the next level: at a red-carpet event, he studies the carpet; in interviews, he recommends fishing-rod brands; on variety shows, he simply lies flat. Yet a series of "accidents" keeps landing him on trending searches, and his public image veers from "Yang Mi's mysterious civilian husband" to "the face of anti-overwork."

It's a chaotic battle of wills. One desperately tries to pull him into her orbit of fame and make him play the part, while the other fiercely defends his patch of sunbathing, fishing, and handicrafts. Through hilarious daily bickering, down-to-earth on-set antics, and warm, funny family life, they go from a couple bound by contract, to roommates who can't stand each other, to the most comfortable partners in each other's lives.

There's no cutthroat scheming or dark side to the entertainment industry here, only an unconventional couple figuring out how to live the most enviable life in the most laid-back way. Watch a top-tier star have her anxiety soothed by a slacker, and a reborn slacker defend his philosophy of "winning while lying down."
