The Whole Sect Pretends Not to Know I'm a Spy

I am a mole planted by the demonic sect in the immortal sect. My mission is to lie low, steal secrets, and deliver a fatal blow at the crucial moment.

On the third day after I joined the Taixu Sword Sect, a sudden downpour began. I sent my first message by the cliff behind the mountain. Rain soaked the strings of my qin. Then the rain stopped--not because the downpour had passed, but because someone was holding an umbrella over my head. The person who offered it didn't look at me, only said, "The rain behind the Taixu Sword Sect comes fast and goes just as quickly."

He turned and walked into the rain, his shoulders and back soon drenched. I looked down and saw two words carved into the umbrella handle:

Shou An.

The Taixu Sword Sect's foremost disciple, born with a sword physique, a sword cultivator prodigy seen once in a century. His sword wasn't called Evil Slayer or Demon Breaker. It was called Shou An. He sheathed his sword, freeing a hand to offer an umbrella to a stranger.

He didn't know I was a spy. He didn't know I'd just sent intelligence. He didn't know how many secrets I carried. He was simply passing by, saw someone standing in the rain, and offered an umbrella.

Only later did I learn that people like him are kind without realizing it. He's good to everyone, but never to himself.

Later still, I noticed more and more people being kind to me. My master clearly saw through my origins but said nothing. The flower demon slipped candy into my palm. The healer took my pulse and only said, "You've got too much dampness in your system." Each of them, in their own way, left me a path back.

But he kept waiting for me to say it myself.

My mission is to get close to him. The order has already come.

The strings of my qin are about to snap.

I don't know how long he'll wait for me. I only know that his sword is called Shou An, and that umbrella he offered me was the first thing in my life given without any conditions
