Multidimensional Worlds Vs. Parallel Universes

On the day programmer Qin Xiaoming was laid off, he became bound to the Dimension Devouring System. Earth was an abandoned sandbox, and lower-dimensional worlds were being harvested by higher-dimensional beings. By exploiting bugs in the System, he faked devourings to claim rewards and get his start. His first target was a fragment of a two-dimensional world. With his three-dimensional perspective, he overwhelmed its rules. After his first genuine devouring, the Forge awakened. But it came at a price: another version of himself was born in his shadow, Yuan. Yuan was formed from all his pain and obsessions. He asked coldly, “What are you still holding on to? Cut it away.” With every world Qin Xiaoming devoured, Yuan grew stronger. Wastelands, cultivation realms, machines, seas of stars… Countless civilizations folded into his body. The closer he came to the secret of creation, the less qualified he was to call himself human. As the seed of a perfect worldline neared its hatching, he had to answer: would he become the foundation of a new universe, or protect the last traces of his humanity?
