The Mad King of Zhenguan at Six, Taking Sizi to Tear Into the Court

(Comedy and lighthearted fun) (Streetwise guys and cheeky girls) (No angst) (An imaginative alternate history) (Pure entertainment) (Everyday life) He transmigrates as Li Shimin’s legitimate son, and is named the Mad King at just six years old. He also gets saddled with a troublemaker System that gives no quests and does nothing but trade barbs with him. His twin sister, Princess Jinyang, little Xizi, is adorably fierce, born with incredible strength and bold enough to carry a broadsword on her shoulder. No one dares mess with her. Li Kuang’s favorite line is: “Old man, quit putting on your emperor act!” Whenever Xizi gets mad, she threatens, “Old man, if you dare cut my share of fermented milk, I’ll chop the legs off your dragon throne!” The siblings play off each other perfectly: one verbally takes on the entire palace, while the other keeps the whole court in line by force. They wreak havoc at court, tease the officials, and put a stop to all of Li Shimin’s imperial posturing. They bicker over fermented milk in their daily lives and casually debate rules in court, turning the imperial palace into a lively madhouse. Li Shimin is so exasperated he doesn’t know what to do, while the court officials can only quietly watch the show.
